Community Ed winter class registration opens Dec. 8

The Winter 2018 Bloomington Community Education catalog will soon be arriving in Bloomington homes, with registration for youth and adult enrichment classes opening on Dec. 8.

This year, Early Learning Services -- Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), preschool, and early childhood screening --
will be included in the Community Education catalog rather than a separate mailing. Registration for Early Learning Services begins Feb. 1, 2018 for classes that start in
fall 2018.

The winter catalog also includes driver’s education classes, Kids’ SAFARI childcare, Galaxy middle school programs, Early Learners Academy, Learning Exchange classes for disabled adults, SWIM courses, Choice High School, Career and College Academy, Volunteer Connection, the Activity Centers at Jefferson and Kennedy high schools, and Metro South Adult Basic Education.

A new American Sign Language class for teens will be offered this year, as well as French language classes for elementary school students. Fencing classes are back, along with ever-popular Kung Fu, Karate and indoor tennis.

Adult course offerings include art, dance, music, cooking, fitness and business and finance. A new American Sign Language class will also be offered for adults.

Community members can register for Community Education classes at bloomington.ce.eleyo.com or via the registration form at the back of the catalog. For more information, visit bloomingtonschools.org/communityed or contact Michelle Glynn at 952-681-6108 or mglynn@isd271.org.
