MetroSouth relocates daytime GED program

MetroSouth Adult Basic Education is partnering with Normandale Community College to offer its daytime GED and College Prep programs at Normandale effective May 30.

MetroSouth is a consortium offering adult basic educational programs for adults in Bloomington, Edina, Eden Prairie and Richfield.

GED and College Prep programs help students prepare to pass the General Education Development test and take college placement tests. The move will offer students additional classroom support as well as a seamless transition through the program, placement tests and enrollment. Normandale will soon be a GED test center.

The summer GED daytime program hours are 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., May 30 – July 13. The fall session begins Sept. 15.  Evening GED and College Prep classes will remain at MetroSouth.

The GED and College Prep programs are partially funded with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education using state and/or federal funding, Minnesota Statute Section 124D.522 and/or CFDA 84.002, Adult Basic Education- Grants to States.
